River Stewardship Awards

Each year, the League of Women Voters of Concord-Carlisle, along with the Wild and Scenic River Stewardship Council, sponsors an annual River Stewardship Award. The award honors outstanding advocates for the Assabet, Sudbury and Concord Rivers. The 2008 Awards Ceremony will be held on June 13, 2008. Click here for a list of the award recipients.

Rail Trail Walk

The following event was held on Sunday, April 13, 2008. Learn more about the proposed rail trail site in Concord by taking a Guided Rail Trail Walk with LWVCC. The first part of the walk will leave from the Sanborn School parking lot (835 Old Marlboro Road) at 9:15 a.m. and will head south to the White Pond area. The second part of the walk will leave from the Winthrop Street parking lot at 11:00 a.m. progressing south through West Concord to the Assabet River. Wear waterproof boots in case the trail is damp or muddy. Click here for tour map.
